Producers’ Statement

#Hearties, thank you for your love, support, and patience these last several days as we have all been preoccupied with the news about Lori Loughlin and her family, and the decisions our colleagues at the Hallmark Channel USA needed to make. As you can imagine, everyone involved with When Calls the Heart was surprised by these developments, so we hope you can forgive us for initially staying silent while we sorted through how to respond.

As for the show itself, we know millions of fans are on pins and needles wondering what will happen now. Let us reassure you, When Calls the Heart has always been bigger than the sum of its parts, and it HAS NOT BEEN CANCELED. With the full support of the network, we have gone on a creative hiatus to do some retooling on the remaining Season 6 episodes. That process has already begun. Hope Valley will return to your TV screens as soon as we can bring the episodes to you.

On behalf of our entire producing team, including Michael Landon Jr., Brad Krevoy and Alfonso Moreno, I want to thank you for continuing to show your love. Your private messages of support and your #Hearties4S6 worldwide trending on Thursday brought a lot of tears to the eyes of our cast and crew and to the good folks at Hallmark Channel. Your love for When Calls the Heart is the courage we count on as we work through this challenging transition and your Hearties community will always be the most important legacy of this TV series. We love you!

I understand the difficulty “When Calls the Heart” cast, crew and each individual involved must be experiencing with the unfortunate circumstances causing the necessary changes to the series. It is with much delight that I understand that the series will continue as it has certainly been one that I enjoy and look forward to seeing each episode . I wish nothing but success for all involved in the steps involved in making the necessary changes to make this series even better than before. I for one continue to wish all a very successful return to this season, and, look forward to the continuation of many more seasons. Thank you Hallmark.

Please don’t remove Lori’s scenes as Abigail from the episodes already filmed . W e love Abigail and while its your right to fire her it seems kind of heartless and unforgiving for a show that loves plot lines about forgiveness. We will not be harmed by seeing her in the rest of this season. What she did was wrong but she will be dealt with by the courts . Please bring our show back! We miss it!

I love this show and the fact that Hallmark has family values and decent standards! It is extremely difficult to find family-oriented and clean drama/family shows, movies or series on TV in today’s market. Even though cutting Lori L. out of the show was difficult for them, I truly appreciate their difficulty in taking it off the air to redo the show. I sincerely hope in the wake of Daniel L. leaving and this fiasco w/Lori L., that they truly DO NOT cancel the show,, even after they redo Season 6 and hope other characters can get developed more over time. I sincerely love Pascale Hutton and Kavan Smith’s characters and hope to see more of them in the series along w/Eva Bourne (Clara) and Aren Buchholz (Jessie) characters and bring in more characters as the town progresses. I love the setting and era this show is set in and hope to see more series/movies like this, such as the Love Comes Softly movie series. Thank you Hallmark/Crown Media for doing such a wonderful and often times, difficult task of making clean, heartfelt, decent movies/mysteries/drama for us to watch!!

I think you could have shown an important lesson, one of Forgiveness towards Lori. There are many actors that have done a lot worse and they are not fired.

    Can’t wait for the return❤️
