God Winks and 5 Hearts Beat in Sync: How the #Hearties Were Born

How The Admin Team met is a total God-wink moment. We found each other on Twitter in February 2014 while tweeting about “When Calls The Heart” and have yet to meet in person. We live in 5 different cities across 3 different time zones. We were part of a group of a dozen like-minded women with similar feelings about the show who gravitated to one another on Twitter.

On Oscar night, March 2, we were tweeting about the Episode 9 preview, debating whether or not it was Jack’s voice asking for Elizabeth’s hand. Four hours later (No, that is NOT an exaggeration) as the Oscar credits rolled we were STILL tweeting about that one line. Yes, THAT ONE LINE. The conversation reignited on March 5, and several other fans wanted to participate. With only 140 characters at our disposal, we decided it was time to stop torturing the Twitterverse with our constant commentary and on the evening of March 5, the Facebook Group was born. We started with a handful, and because the show draws everyone it touches, we grew like a wildfire. In just 24 hours we had 500 members. Two months later, we are over 14,000 Hearties strong and growing by the day! Most importantly, we were instrumental in clinching Season 2 of our beloved show!

We feel like we have known each other, forever, and I thank God daily, for these gracious girls! I just can’t wait to meet them in person! It takes a village, but what a wonderful village it is! Thank you for getting the word out about this amazing show.
