***********************
“To me, the legacy of When Calls the Heart is the Hearties [the show’s devoted fan ‘club’], the most important legacy long after the show ends,” Bird says. “The Hearties will still be there as friends in the community. So many new friends have been made through this and they love each other. It’s like there’s sort of a form of church that’s happening, sense of community, people caring about another and praying for one another.”

I’m a hearty as well. I’m about to finish the 5th season, even when I already know a little about the sad ending. I love Bill and Adigail, they are my favorite because they’re so wise and complex.

  • Omgoodness! I have never binge watched a show until now. I love the writing and the actors are so talented! I am a G & PG lady so this show is so refreshing. Rosemary and Lee are an absolute hoot as well as Bill Avery!
I quickly became a HEARTIE and I’m so looking forward to season six beginning again!

WCTH has drawn me in. My wife and I binge watched the first five seasons and will look forward to cuddling Sunday nights to see the dramas of Hope Valley unfold. Is there a cuter little girl than Opal? In a time when divisive mindset is too common, it’s a balm for the soul to visit a community where kindness and fair play are the rule and not the exception. The scenery is wonderful. There’s tension without graphic violence. It’s fun.
What’s the time frame? Isn’t World War I somewhere on the horizon? We enjoy it. We will keep watching the series as a shared pleasure.

I was surprised at how effected I was by the last episode of Season 5. It felt like a actually lost a family member.

Looking forward to getting past this grief to brighter days in Hope Valley.

I only just heard the term “hearties” and it made me feel better knowing such a community existed where I would fit right in!

    Keep up the good work.

I too am new to WCTH and Hallmark. If I had know years ago about the high standards and morals, etc nature of the 2 channels and esp WCTH, I would have started years ago, But I am blown away with gratitude and warm fuzzy feelings and great blessings at the kind of principles and values extolled and portrayed in these shows. I am caught up ready for season 6. I have spread the word wherever I can.

I know that Erin and Lori probably get lots of mail with little time to read, but I believe I have a very special word I would like to share with them that they will be blessed and encouraged to read. I am even willing to send it to one of the Hearties leaders to hand to them at a Hearties convention if they feel it worthy. No problem to me for you to read to see its worth. IF there is someone high up in the organization, please email or message it on facebook.. I love every show I;ve seen on Hallmark this last year when I discovered them. Thanks so much for all your leadership, love and efforts to promote this series. You should feel so blessed and gratified at the enormous numerical support of the show.

I just discovered WCTH and have binge watched it since Christmas. I fell in love with the characters, the writing, scenery and the quality of acting. This ensemble makes you feel like you want to live in Coal (Hope) Valley. I really would expect nothing less from a Hallmark production but this series uplifted me at a time when I truly needed it. Thank you to the actors, writers, producers and of course, the author, for giving us a beautiful series to watch and enjoy.
The only negative is that I’ve gone through more tissues this last month than I did in all the previous 11 months total! Congratulations and I eagerly await Season 6 (sadly without Jack)

This is the best show ever. It’s message is insuring and I just started watching it again, on Netflix, from Season 1, for the 3rd time. Please continue this show for years to come, it’s good for the soul!

I agree Michelle, it’s so good for the soul and my kids watch it with me since they love the stories about school.
