#Hearties, Welcome to a special, inter-season edition of Coal Valley Kids Chat. THANK YOU to Michelle Boey and Sarah Boey for sharing with us their insights and experiences on the set of When Calls The Heart.
And now, let’s hear from Michelle and Sarah:
Sarah’s experience as Morgan Rose, the youngest daughter in the Miller family, on When Calls the Heart was something she will always cherish. She couldn’t wait to get up, sometimes at 4am, to get ready for the trip to Fort Langley to change into her layers and layers of warm old fashioned clothing. It was always fun to see her transform into a little girl from 1910 and made me imagine what it must have been like for her great grandparents settling here from Belgium in those days.
Spending time with her “big sister,” Lilah Fitzgerald, who played Jolene, was something else to look forward to. They had an immediate and special bond, inventing games, passing notes between the trailer partition, comparing boots…..girl stuff!
When not acting, her many
hours in tutoring included sewing, playing games and doing arts and crafts. Hanging out with Mountie Jack and his horse was always entertaining. So many cast and crew contributed to Sarah’s wonderful time on set. She is blessed to be part of such a wholesome and heart warming production. We wish all the directors, producers and everyone involved continued success and hope to see When Calls the Heart
endure for many years to come!
