3,456 Individual Hearts Set in Frames Sent to Cast from #Hearties
Near the end of Season two, Jody Blosser spearheaded another fantastic Hearties initiative, a campaign plea for Season 3. To participate, Hearties everywhere were invited to sign and send 12 – 15 small wooden hearts to Jody. The hearts were then put into frames as gifts for Hallmark, Brian Bird, Michael Landon Jr., Janette Oke, Lori Loughlin, Erin Krakow, Daniel Lissing, Martin Cummins, Kavan J Smith, Pascale Hutton, the Hope Valley Kids, the Hope Valley Crew, and others by Jody and her team of fabulous #Hearties: Kim Dillon, Cheryl Pruett, Debbie Brooks, and Mayra Blanco.
The fascinating and impressive facts:
3,456 individual hearts were sent in for the frames.
4 countries and 40 US States are represented in the frames.
Hearties who couldn’t find or couldn’t afford to purchase wooden hearts were provided Hearts by other big hearted hearties.
- One or more sets of blank hearts were sent to 39 #Hearties.
- 66 #Hearties included a donation with their hearts.
- 14 #Hearties sent in blank hearts (extras for Jody to pass on to other #Hearties) with their submission.
- 53 #Hearties requested that a set of hearts be made on their behalf and hardworking other Hearties graciously assisted in making that happen.
- 9 #Hearties mailed hearts to other #Hearties.
- 370 individual blank hearts were sent in by #Hearties
Other fun facts:
- While trying to put Michael’s frame back together, we broke the glass.
- Georgia had the most submissions at 21
- The frames were purchased from Michaels, JoAnn Fabric’s and Ollies and 9 different colors of silk were used across 15 frames.
- Brian Bird’s frame is the tallest, at 40 inches tall (101.5 cm) tall
- Janette Oke, Lori Loughlin, and Daniel Lissing received square frames. Lori Loughlin received a white frame.
