Hallmark Provides Television Movies of Reconciliation and Redemption

Some of the best known and loved television series that Hallmark has distributed and aired have been “Little House on the Prairie” (TV Series), “The Waltons” (TV Series), and “When Calls the Heart” (TV Series).

Michael Landon Jr. produces today, as did his father before him (“Little House on the Prairie”…), inspirational frontier television series that have been aired on the Hallmark Channel, such as “When Calls the Heart.” In an exclusive interview with Austin Movie Examiner, Erin Krakow, who plays the lead role of Elizabeth Thatcher in the Hallmark series “When Calls the Heart,” has shared the latest with the series about how women who have lost their coal miner husbands learn to survive and provide for their children in a bleak labor environment. She has told how the premiere for Season Three has been planned for a two-hour, December special. She has also shared how the first season of 10 episodes each can be viewed through streaming on Netflix and other streaming sources. Further, the first two seasons of 10 episodes each are available individually or in boxed sets are available on DVD.

Brian Bird, co-founder and partner with Michael Landon, Jr. with Believe Pictures that specializes in life-and-faith-affirming films and television, has also given a rich, exclusive interview with Austin Movie Examiner. Bird’s most recent writing and executive-producing credits include the 2015 Paramount feature films, “Captive,” “The Ultimate Life” (2013) for 20th Century Fox, along with the TV film, “Beverly Lewis’ The Reckoning” for the Hallmark Channel (2015). Additionally, he has served as executive producer and head writer of the Hallmark original series, “When Calls the Heart.” In the exclusive interview with Austin Movie Examiner, Brian Bird has said movies that people have loved are redemption stories. He has said that we all are hungry for redemption and want resurrection stories because it is innate within us. Brian has said that today there is void which redemptive media can fill. He has contended that souls are starved and redemptive media producers can feed these souls. He has said that redemptive stories point the way to the ultimated redemption story….
