  • I just discovered WCTH and binge watch it 2 times with my husband who was as wrapped up in it as I am. And he never watches these kind of shows! We both cried through the sad ending of Jack. I watch the Christmas show and am anxiously awaiting season 6. You could bring Jack back before the season ends – perhaps he miraculously could have serviced and has amnesia. I would accept any reason you give. Unbeknownst to me my daughter had binge watch it. I told her this is the best show I have ever seen and I’m 70. I plan to binge watch WCTH again. It has left an indelible mark on my heart

I was sick for a week and came across this series. Binge watched all the way through to end of Season 5. Heartbroken, I mean actually felt depressed at Jack’s death. I’ve never been so invested in characters this way. I appreciate the explanation of why but also want to add this. If there is a way for actor Dan Lissing to change heart and return to Hope Valley, even if it’s the last 3 shows in the series finale, this new fan will be overjoyed. Writers can come up with a good explanation, I can come up with a plot. In a world of sorrow and turmoil, I’m sure I’m not alone in longing for a happy ending, even if it’s fiction. Many blessings to all.

Love the show. So sad at Jack death to bad u could not have him station away and maybe have another actor play jack and have Elizabeth maybe going to see him then coming home with the new “jack”

I love this show and I love the chemistry between Daniel and Erin. I am hoping to see them in other hallmark moves soon.

I know that Daniel decided to not renew his contract but being a Heartie I am wondering if there is a way that Jack might actually be brought back in to the show if he decides he wants to come back. I know the show Jane the virgin did that with the character of Michael who was killed off after season 1 then brought back a year and a half later in the season finale as being alive do you think something like this could be done with Jack’s character so we can see him be a good husband and father? Just something for Daniel and the writers to think about I know us Heartie fans who are heartbroken would love to see that happen in the future even if it is not meant for season 6.

I’m no longer watching this show. Why would you bring death into the show and not allow Jack to be a great father and husband? Now hope valley is nothing but a bunch of widows, with the exception of Rosemary. I’m sick of cynical scriptwriters never allowing happy endings. I won’t recommend this show to anyone.

It was so very sad to watch the finale and learn of Jack’s death. However, as we learned in the Facebook Live and Home & Family interviews last week, it was Daniel Lissing’s decision to leave the show, not the writers’. His contract was for 5 seasons and he decided not to renew it make more. Therefore, the writers made the very difficult decision that the only way to deal with Dan’s departure was for Jack to die as he would not leave his beloved Elizabeth in other way. They, also, decided to leave their relationship in the best possible place, with them married and very much in love. Although Jack’s passing (and Dan’s departure) is very sad, there is still hope in Hope Valley with the news of Baby Thornton on the way! As a fan myself, I see more happy times ahead in Hope Valley! 😊

As Heartie, I am very sad that Jack passed away, but I also love Elizabeth and plan to “support” her and their baby along with all the characters of Hope Valley, by continuing to watch the show. This show is so heartwarming and breath of fresh air. God bless Hallmark, the writers and actors of this amazing show and God bless Daniel Lissing and his future endeavors.
